Licensed Practical Nurses
A licensed practical nurses is the term used in much of the United States to refer to nurse who cares for “people who are sick, injured, convalescent, or disabled under the direction of physicians and registered nurses.
Among other tasks, our nurses will:
- Place and manage intravenous catheters (peripheral, midline and PICC)
- Administer medications, catheter site care, patient education, blood specimen collection, etc… Including injections
- Wound care
- Monitoring vital signs
- Coordinating a full range of medical care.
- Communicate with the other members of the healthcare team regarding identified care needs and response to therapy.
